Week 4 Blog Post #1: Chapter 4 of Surfing The Tsunami - Level 1 Adapt

involved in managing AI

3. Adept (the best): learn about the development of AI directly from those who are developing it

Coding and how to work with data related to it.

Adapt = Wait and See

The author states, "This chapter recognizes that Adapt is the starting point

for just about everyone – wait and see, and maybe something triggers you

into action, maybe it doesn’t. I called Adapt “good”, because trying to grow

and learn and respond is better than nothing. At least you’re more aware

than you were. All I’m saying is, don’t get comfortable – at this stage, I

recommend being more proactive, where you are getting up and actually

pursuing some things."





Three options for dealing with AI have been discussed previously in this chapter. These are adapt, adopt, and adept, all of which have been discussed in previous chapters. The chapter discusses the concept of adjusting to AI and the importance of being cautious yet proactive. As a chapter, the main focus is on the first option, which is to become aware of the developments in artificial intelligence and learn more about it. It emphasizes how important it is to prioritize artificial intelligence despite the distractions of modern life.

There is a challenge in getting started and staying focused when learning about AI. Chapter 4 recommends creating good habits, such as setting reminders to read articles and allocating time for studying. In addition to reading articles and books to gain a deeper understanding of AI, this chapter recommends not sitting by while it grows idly.

The chapter also emphasizes the importance of staying up to date with the latest news about artificial intelligence and exploring resources that provide the best information on it. Various news outlets are recommended to search for information, such as the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and MIT Technology Review. As part of the chapter, it is suggested that the reader read books related to artificial intelligence, such as "Rise of the Robots," to gain a complete understanding of the subject.

A vital point of the chapter is that among other things, it emphasizes the importance of adapting to AI to succeed by actively engaging with resources, setting aside dedicated time for learning, and staying informed of the latest developments in the field.

October 27th, 2021 Week #9- Protecting Pakistan Against Covid-19!    In Week 9, I created an infographic using Canvas for Pakistan. This infographic explains how in Pakistan how they are preparing and fighting against COVID-19.  COVID- There is a decrease in 19 infections in Pakistan with an average of 588 new infections every day. That is 10% of the top – on June 16 it had the highest average daily. Since the beginning of the pandemic there have been 1,270,322 illnesses and 28,405 fatalities attributable to coronavirus in the country.  Vaccination:  At least 102,067,945 doses of COVID vaccination have been provided to date in Pakistan. If everyone requires two doses, this suffices to vaccinate around 23,6 percent of the population of the country.
